Pinterest Change

I just switched my Pinterest account, because it says they will make everyone change soon.  They say it's to make our pictures bigger.  It just looks cluttered and super  boxy to me.  You no longer have the option to "See it Now" after you pin or repin something, which makes repinning in giveaways super easy to do.  So they either don't know this helped, or they are trying to change it, to make things harder in my life ;)  I guess that's my biggest complaint.  I thought I would just get it over with, because, really, how can you make Pinterest WORSE?!  Well, they did for me, and I'm pouting about it!

  1. I agree about the "See It Now" button.. I am very unhappy. They had alot of room to improve on certain things like the search option, but I didn't see any changes on that.

  2. I never did use the 'see it now' option. I feel like they just wanted to make it more 'app like'. When I saw the title of your post, I was worried that another of my favorite things was going wonky. I don't think I could have adapted to a new feed reader AND Pinterest in the same week :-(

  3. So, the "see it now" option, was very useful for me, because I enter a lot of giveaways, so when I pin the giveaway, the mini screen popped up, and if you were fast enough, you could press "see it now" and it would take you to the screen of that specific pin, in one fast swoop. NOW, that second mini screen disappears (because I am pinning outside of pinterest with my mini "Pin It" button), and I have to Open Pinterest, go to my boards, click on my giveaway board, then click on that pic. Not a BIG deal, but it's like at least 15 seconds of time, with this ole laptop :)

I'm glad that you are relieved about them not destroying Pinterest for us either. I just feel like that had SO MUCH room to improve, and they went backwards. But maybe I'll get used to it, and they will change a few things before it's mandated for everyone.

  4. Pinterest is working on a whole new set of features exclusively for businesses to help them expand their reach and understand their Pinterest audience. Those who have set up a business account will be notified as soon as new features are available.
